If you don't like going to the spa for a pedicure, or do like going out for a pedicure but are trying to save some money by doing your own at home, this is a nice product for a bit of pampering. This Spa Pumice Cream is scented with lavender and tea tree oil, but not very heavily, so if you really like the aromatherapy qualities of spa-time, you may want to bump it up with your own essential oils as well. Although this cream contains some acids (which help to soften skin and loosen dry skin), I think most people with sensitive skin would be okay with it since it won't stay on your feet for long.

The best way to use this Spa Pumice Cream is to fit it in partway through your pedicure routine. After soaking my feet or taking a bath or shower, so the skin on my feet is already soft, I use a Ped Egg or other scraper to remove dead skin, then push back my cuticles, trim my nails and use a scrub like this one to smoothen out my skin. I put a good-sized dollop of the Pumice Cream on a warm, wet washcloth and rub it all over my feet. The pumice in the cream helps with light exfoliation, but wouldn't be enough on its own to tackle calluses. It says on the bottle, "You'll get softer, smoother, naturally radiant feet," and that promise is fulfilled.

This cream isn't designed to be a lotion, (though it will moisturize your feet with its added vitamins,) so either stay in the bathroom to rinse your feet after rubbing them down, or bring some hot water with you to use for removing the cream. I'm sure Sally Hansen would want me to suggest following up with one of their lotions, but I'm partial to Ms. Pedicure Moisture Rich Heel Cream, which is a great daily foot cream and an excellent value. If you have sensitive skin, avoid the Ms. Pedicure cream or any foot-specific lotion that includes peppermint oil, which can be overly stimulating and borderline painful to raw, post-exfoliation skin; instead use a rich, natural product you're already comfortable with, since your skin will be more prone to react badly to irritants. (Many of The Body Shop's Body Butters are ideal for soothing and hydrating after exfoliation on your feet or anywhere on your body.)

Overall, I recommend this product. It isn't an essential beauty product, but it's very enjoyable as a special treat. I should also note that the scent isn't particularly feminine, and men will enjoy the experience too.

I love Salon Effects! I would absolutely not buy those cheepo strips another reviewer mentioned, they are just stickers. Once you get the hang of applying these, it's easier than applying polish and lasts almost two weeks for me...sometimes longer with lighter colors. These were fine, except that they were more of a navy blue than a midnight blue, as pictured.

This Sally Hansen Tanner Spray product from Amazon is horrible. I was sent product that is either out of date or shelf life. The tan color is terrible and orange after applied.

Used this product for many years that I bought in a regular store and is nothing like this. You can get a great sunless tan with natural looking color if you buy this from a store and not at a cheap price from Amazon.

Never again....should have known better when the price was so cheap. This will make me question whether I buy anything from Amazon again.

This isnt too bad but I dont think its practical and it goes on uneven until you learn how to apply it I guess. I have a 4 year very old can and just tried it again today.

I do remember though when i first tried this 4 years ago just on my upper torso and abs (this stuff makes my abs show better), I made the mistake of wearing a white dress shirt the next day. When I removed my shirt that night after work, I noticed it was colored all over on the inside. The shirt needed serious bleeching to remove the color.

You will also notice it comes off on white sheets. Also sweat will make this stuff run a bit, even 2 days later. I might try buying a 3 pack and I will see what those results are. Maybe they modified the forumula a bit. These day you can get a 3 pack for like $11. They should give you a 5 pack for that price though

I use this every day on my face because my body tends to be tanner. No one can ever tell it's not a natural tan. I do recommend scrubbing it off once a week and rebuilding your tan. I have tried many brands (many that were MUCH more expensive) and did my researchthis is the best.

I love this product. They no longer offer it in stores (just the leg one). The retinol leaves your skin looking fresh and feeling good! The tan is even. Frankly it's the best and I can't believe they don't make it anymore.

I have nothing nice to say about this product, or any Sally Hansen product for that matter. I happened to purchase this product only after I could not locate my favorite Barielle nail care products at my local drugstores.

BIG BIG MISTAKE!!

Within a few short weeks of using these products, my nails started breaking, chipping and peeling in layers, which is something that has never happened to me before! My once perfect ten (thanks to Barielle nail care products, shameless plug!) had become a hideous ragged mess!

If I were smart I would have asked the beauty experts at the drugstores; their main consensus in my area was that Sally Hansen products are 'inferior' compared to the others. I couldn't agree more!

I have since managed to find my Barielle products again and am honestly amazed at how fast my nails are recovering and growing after this fiasco.

My SH products are now in the dumpster where they belong!

I typically only get manicures for job interviews, weddings, and funerals.

I tend to ruin even those professional manicures within 2 hours (and certainly within 2 days!), so I haven't pained my nails much since college.

I started exercising in a heavily chlorinated outdoor pool, however, and my nails started splitting. When I cut them down to the quick, they simply began to split beneath the quick! Even my toenails started to break. I held them together with duct tape at the office, then ran out to the nearest drugstore to buy something anything! that would keep my protective nails intact.

The lady in the cosmetics section was quite proud of her nails, and swore up and down that this was the product to buy: none of the $3 Sally Hansen solutions, no: this one! She invited me to touch her nails, which I did, and I admit they were strong and smooth, with blue nail polish on top. (Hey, you go, granny! I think she said she was 80)

At >13 bucks at the time of this review, this is pretty close to what I paid locally.

Since then I've been putting one coat on per day, three days in a row, after which the nail polish mysteriously cracks off, and they all peel. I don't know why it does that! The toenail polish stays on longer over a week.

I'm not even in the pool anymore, as it closed a couple of weeks ago right when I started using this product.

I moisturize my nails with a meyer lemon and olive oil blend that is a cooking oil, not specifically for nails, but the internet told me that was ok. :-P I also use Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream, Fragrance-Free, 2 Ounce (Pack of 2) on my hands regularly, and I make sure to leave blobs of it on my nails and cuticles each time.

I have two big beefs with this product:

1. My nails are still breaking beneath the quick. They're all shiny/purdy, but they're still crack-a-lackin' like I've never seen before. It's absurd

2. The. SMELL. It dries very quickly, and I could handle the smell when I first put it on, but eating anything for hours and hours to come makes me crinkle my nose. My hands bring food to my face, which puts them beneath my nose, and the icky toxic solvent smells are strong for a long, long time. We went out with friends yesterday, and I was still wrinkling my nose 4 hours after I painted my nails. UGH. I have ordered Piggy Paint MAKE IT LAST (2PK) Basecoat and Topcoat Paired Up! and hope it will function better, or at least not smell so awful for so long.

Things this product does well:

1. It is pretty

2. It dries quickly

That's it. I'm still using it because I'm desperate, but I'm actively pursuing other options. If you purchase this product, I hope it works much better for you!

I purchased this product after a rather unfortunate run in with a set of acrylic nails that I had to get removed. (They were so thick that I had to get them removed & opted not to get them put back on.) Needless to say, that left my nails looking disgusting & weak.

I applied the treatment semi-regularly over the last few months. I've never really monitored my nail growth, but the nails appeared to have grown slightly more than they normally do. The treatment also looks nice on my nailslike clear nail polish. It also helps to moisturize & protect my nails for the most part.

My big complaint is that the polish seems to chip relatively easily under my daily routine. I don't do muchjust secretary work & the occasional shift in a bookstore. I put a coat on a day ago & the edge of one of my nails has no treatment on it from where it rubbed off.

Overall though, I'm fairly pleased with this product. If I have need of it in the future I'll probably get another bottle.

I have terrible feet. They become sore and dry very easily. Last year I had been dealing with corns and extremely dry feet and nothing I did would help. I soaked them, used corn removers (liquid and those pads) lotions, scrubs, and tons of other things. Nothing really helped until I tried this pumice scrub. If you are looking for cuticle scissors, look elsewhere. The blades of these are way too thick to be able to cut cuticles. In fact, it is very difficult to even cut your nails with them! I am not sure who designed these, but they are terrible. Do not waste your money. All cuticle scissors are not created equal.

I just order these to use on my eyebrows; both of my tweezermans became unusable when the tips became misaligned (dropped one pair and the other was older). For reference, I had the Tweezerman Slant and Mini Slant tweezers. Here is how the ToiletTrees compare:

PROS

1) Ends slant toward one another rather than remain flat throughout the length of the tweezer (like Tweezerman). Most hairs are easier to grab, less likely to break. Easier to see what I'm doing.

2) Blunter tip helps reduce hair breakage

3) Tweezers less likely to dent or bend when dropped/used heavily because of blunt tip and sturdy metal

4) Not difficult to pinch closed; just a little stiffer than Tweezerman

5) No obnoxious logo; stainless steel means no blinking metal sheen and no rust.

CONS

1) Blunt tip means I can't pierce the skin with these. No more picking at my face or digging out ingrowns with my slant tip tweezers, etc.

2) Difficult to grasp very, very short hairs because of blunt tip--I am talking like the little black dots of hair that appear when an eyebrow hair is level with the surface of your skin. I could get these out with sharper slat-tips, but these are not sharp enough.

Overall, a great everyday tweezer. If you are an eyebrow neat freak and need to tweeze those very short hairs or need a sharp edge, you might need a supplementary pair.

I use the blue and silver pens and their color is true. But the red comes out watery, faded, and a shimmery coral pink, not a creme blood red like on the package. It takes 5 layers to even be able to see it. Other reviewers have the same issue with the red polish pen. Sally Hansen is usually a good brand so they seriously need to rework their red pen formula.

I recently bought the black nail pen and did a french manicure with black tips. It was easy and looked great. I put on my top coat and the manicure still looked great.

2 hours later.... The tips were cracked under the top coat.

5 hours later... It looked like my manicure was days old and chipped.

I did not even do dishes at that point, but when I did.. the tips were awful. I would NEVER buy this again.
