Recently bought this same product at Target for $4.76. This is the first time I've tried waxing and this kit is not beginner friendly. I found it to be extremely messy. The numbing solution is not very effective. The wax removal lotion for your hands does not work. It does a good job at removing hair, but after waxing twice, I still have hair remaining. I will try a different brand next time. I am giving it 3 stars instead of just 2 since I am a not an experienced waxer.

Cheap Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips - 650 Plum-Met

I love a nicely manicured nail, but I simply do not have the time to sit in a salon every 10 days to get one. Not to mention, as much as I love all things "girly", I am a rare exception that would prefer to skip the steps it takes to get there. Manicures are boring. Grooming my hands/nails myself always allowed me to sit in the comfort of my own home and watch tv or read while I waited for them to dry. With that said, I am also rather impatient at times and find nail polish dryiing time to take forever!

I bought these thinking they'd be fun. These are awesome! They go on pretty easily, although I did have to waste a few to get the hang of it. Once they're on, they look like a professional manicure as long as your nails are shaped well before hand. I always buff my nails and wipe them with nail polish remover right before application to make sure these lay flat and smooth. I can get 2-3 uses out of a box as I keep my nails a medium length, so I can use strip twice (half on one hand, half on the other). These last 7-10 days for me despite cleaning, typing, etc.

I wish there were more plain colors without the design, but the plain colors I've bought do look nice. I really can't say how much I love these. Quick, easy, pretty and long-lasting. Awesome.

I was skeptical that these would look as good as real nail polish, but I had to try them to see for sure. Wow, was I wrong! They are a little tricky to apply, but once they are on, they look, feel, and even smell like a real manicure! I am able to get 2 full applications out of 1 box. I cannot wear real nail polish, because it ruins my nails. Hopefully, this product won't ruin them, since it's more like applying a plastic band-aid to the nail. After 3 days, my nails still look fabulous! Love the color of this one, "Plum-Met"!

I really like the polish strips. They are relatively easy and much cheaper than going to the salon. On average I get a week or a bit over before i Have to change but they come off relatively easy with acetone.

I have had artificial nails for so many years I cannot recall. For the last 14 years or so it was the full artificial nail from the nail salon. Prior to that for about 15 years I did it myself with nail tips (had to wear polish to cover up the place where the tip and my nail were glued together). Anyway, a few months ago we removed my artificial nails done by the salon, and found......not only fungus but a bacterial infection !! It was horrible. Had to have antibiotic treatment and such, my nails were green and brown and peeled like onion skin. Terrible terrible ! anyway, they have started growing out. I have used Nail Tec on them to try an increase their strength and taking Biotin. So, ok, they were just growing out. But, I was used to really nice looking nails. I tried the standard white nail pencil to try and whiten the nails as they grew out (sort of french look) but it didn't look so great or at least not as nice as I wanted. So I decided to try this. I just did not have the confidence that I could do this. I do have a disability which causes weakness in the arms) so I am not very steady. I have walked around for 2 days looking at my new French look nails. They are not long but ... they look so very nice. I went through alot of this information so that someone who has had problems with their nails, or who is not confident they could do this by their selves, would see that it is really worth trying. The first nail I did got a little weird at first, but I removed the white and redid it. I got the hang of it!!! But then the next trick was, could I do this on my right hand, using my self hand to put the strips on, put the polish on etc. Yep, I did it. Once you have the hang of it you are home free. They look really close to what I would have had done at a saloon at a whole lot higher price !! I am obviously very pleased. I had been waiting for my nails to grow out a little more so I could go to a salon to have the French look but not any more. I am a real "do it yourseler " now thanks to this kit.

I like French manicures but don't want to spend $20+ every few weeks on one. So why not just spend $5 and get like 30 applications? My only problem with it is even though I put the clear coat over the white part, the white still chips in a few days which I have to keep touching up to keep it looking good. I guess you get what you pay for.

As far as DIY nail kits go, this isn't bad. I do like the shades of white and nude polishes included, and the topcoat dries smooth and shiny. However, the stickers that are supposed to act as a barrier for applying the tip color aren't really effective. In my opinion, they don't stick tightly to the nail. No matter how careful I was when adhering, I would find that the white polish had run underneath the sticker. I ended up having to use a polish remover-soaked Q-tip to carefully remove the white that ran out of bounds. Also, although I haven't had the polishes very long (maybe two months), the nude color is already getting that tacky consistency to it, so it doesn't apply as smoothly as it had originally, which is disappointing, since I really do like the shade and want to continue using it.

Overall, I would recommend it, as long as you understand that you will need to fix up the tip polish, even with the application of the stickers and that the polish may dry out fairly quickly.

This is a mediocre set. I does its job but not in the best way. The base is very sheer even for a french manicure and the white has not the best coverage.

This product was perfect. The white polish dries quick, making it easier and faster to apply the nude coat and the top coat is nice and shiny. There are even sticker guides for the french tips.

If you follow the instructions as to how to apply these nail polish strips, and then in addition, blast a little warm air from your blow dryer to help "set" the glue to the nail they will last much longer than regualr nail polish or other imitation "sticker" nail strips. Every time I've used these nail polish stips I've only had to redo them due to nail outgrowth, not because of chipping. To me, these are better and cheaper than the whole "gel polish" trend right now.

I'm not a big fan of the new kinds of patterns and "nail art" that seems to be trending right now. I think they're kind of childish and they take away from a woman's "sophisticated" feminine look (I'm not a whiny old lady, I'm 25), but the glitter ones are absolutely gorgeous, especially if you have long fingers and long nails! I'd never been able to grow my nails because, well, they grow a little bit and then one breaks, usually the first one to go is my middle right finger, which I guess takes the most abuse. And when one breaks, I have to clip them all because it would just look ridiculous otherwise. I was desperate. I took "hair, skin, and nails vitamins" for a few months to no avail. Nails still kept breaking. I even tried the nail-strengthening serums. I don't like acrylics either because I don't like the fake look. And I don't wanna go to a salon to have someone else do my nails for me, what a headache! So I thought I was gonna have to live with short nails and wear neutral colors to make my fingers look longer. Then I saw a girl at starbucks and she was wearing the golden glitter ones, and I commented on how beautiful and long her nails were, she told me she's been using the Sally Hansen stick-ons and if it hadn't been for these, her nails would've broken a long time ago. So I picked up a pack (the pink, which is just the prettiest pink there is without being overwhelming) that same night and--WOW! THANK YOU, STARBUCKS GIRL! My nails are FINALLY growing! My hands look more feminine and beautiful! And they've been on my nails for 9 days now without getting chipped and I can see how much my nails have grown in 9 days! They still look shiny and beautiful! I get compliments on my nails all the time, and I tell everyone that these are stick-on polish strips!

You should definitely get these! Especially if you go a salon to get your nails done, you would save money! I just ordered all the glittery ones I could find on Amazon!

I've bought a couple of these at my local Walgreens for $10.50/box (I heard WalMart offers for $2 less than that) so I was thrilled when I found so many available for significantly less here on Amazon.

I have not used these particular colors (glitters?) but I have used others by Sally Hanson. I can tell you about that. The application was easy. Like REALLY easy. A little more time consuming that I imagined (still less than painting) so add a few extra minutes so you can get it right. Following the directions was not complicated. Application was a breeze, even using my non-regular hand. Better looking result than nail polish which sticks to your skin, and shows streaks, and if you're not careful -smudges!

After 8+ days my nails are still looking pretty darned good. The blue/silver leopard nail pictures (which I will add as a customer image) are my own hands and represent what the nails looks like after 8+ days. You'll notice the tips still look darned good, the wear is starting to show at the cuticle where my nails are growing out.

Still more pricey than polish. But there are times when you won't have the time to paint them. Or you will want a pattern (to get all the glitter you know you're talking several coats. Or you want them to last longer than polish. Buy these!

I am not a manicure kind of gal but I do like to have pretty nails on occasion. These are perfect for me. It is important to follow the directions exactly and to put on a clear coat afterwards. The clear coat isn't mentioned in the instructions but I have found especially the glitzy nails with the sparkles it is an important step. The glitter is a bit pointy and needs the clear coat to smooth it out or you will feel the rough edges. You will snag your sheer clothing if you do not clear coat it afterwards.Be patient. It is easier the second time. The price on Amazon is a third of the price of a single pack and here you get 2!

Here are some tips, if you have trouble with application.. :O) I love the convenience of the Sally strips, and no longer pay for expensive manicures when these are so easy, quick, and cute!

1. These polish strips work best on short nails

2. Practice, don't think the 1st time will be perfect

3. I found that starting with my pinkie and using my thumb to press along the edge of my entire nail works better than the stick in the package.

4. I only use the file on the tip of my nail, any other smoothing can be done with your thumb

5. If your nails are short, you can stretch the strip over one nail, and use the leftover for another nail (whichever one it fits..say you cover your index, use the excess on your pinkie. I can do my hands & toes with one box. And Amazon has the best price!

6. Once you get them all on, finish with a quick clear coat. :)

Once you get the hang of these, they are wonderful. I like to paint my nails, too, but I suck at nail art and these strips give me nail art that is easy and fast. Give'em a try, maybe buy the cheapest box you can find to practice on, them go crazy buying more like I did lol!

I used Sally Hansen Hard in the past and remembered it fondly, which is why I purchased it again. But what a disappointment this is. It lifts and peels off after half a day -and I was following the package directions which stated that I should apply it to a bare nail! Won't be buying this again.

I really like this polish. the tint really comes off as more of a slightly rosy, healthy glow to the nailbeds for the most part it looks clear, but the nails look healthier. It doesn't build much (two coats and I can't tell much of a color difference). It dries REALLY glossy, which I love, but also really slowly, which I don't love. I'll definitely use it again, and may repurchase when I need to.

I've been using this product for 2 years and really love it. It works really well in getting rid of hairs on my forearms and shins, and leaves the skin so smooth for up to 2 weeks! I spread the cream on right before shower, start from my shins, forearms and fingers and then wait for about a minute or 2 before jump in the shower. I'm Asian so I'm not sure how it works for people with thicker stronger body hair.

This does work, but I had difficulty using the applicator tip, could not seem to keep the cream the same thickness. Used my hand finally to maintain the correct amount, and it did take more minutes to remove the hair. Had to use a washcloth to remove hair, but the product did remove the hair once it was left on enough time. No problems with any irritation, so I do recommend this for hair removal as it does not cause any problems, you just have to tailor to your hair type as to length of time needed to be left on.
