but that's about it. My daughter thought that chocolate brown would look good with this teal color; however, it didn't really show up underneath because there wasn't enough contrast. It was a pretty rich dark chocolate color too...espresso. We tried this with black and it really looks pretty nice. Its not as dramatic as I would have liked and its probably not something anyone would notice without really looking unless the lighting hits it right. The look is definitely not what is printed on the brush handle on top of the bottle! It is similar but much more subtle. I think a black crackle or shatter overcoat would be better because it wouldn't be limited to one undercoat color.
As far as application, it goes on nice and smooth...as long as you are generous with the amount on the brush and you get it done quick! Do not go over the same area twice too often to try to 'fix' anything or try to put it on with just a little on the brush because, either way, it will take off the undercoat polish and smear it. You will have to do it all over again! As soon as I figured this out it was pretty simple. Be generous with the amount and put it on in smooth even strokes. If you miss a spot, go back and do it after the first coat dries.

Best Sally Hansen Brazilian Extra Strength Wax Hair Removal Kit Deals
This is my favourite at home treatment. It is the only wax that won't take any skin off along withhair. I highly recommend.
Anyways... After years of using Sally Hansen's beauty products I wanted to give this a try. I have used Sally Hansen's wax strips and the creme hair remover and liked them both. So I received this in the mail last week and I immediately wanted to give it a try. I open the box to find the wax container, some eyebrow stickers, a wax "spatula", the after-care oil, and instructions. So I read the instructions and it says to put the wax into the microwave for 30 seconds on medium. Well, lets just say that didn't work and I had to do this again 10 times.. So.. It took 5 minutes to get the wax from the solid form to the "waxy" form. It was a bit disappointing but I didn't let me bother me too much because I do in fact have an older microwave. So, the next step was to apply the wax onto your freshly clean skin (where ever you may want to apply iteyebrow area, lip, etc.) so I apply it to my lip and my eyebrows. Then I decide to leave it on to cool and harden a tad bit before I pull it off. I pull it off of my lip (not too fast and not too slow) and immediately my lip starts to hurt. It ripped some of my skin off. That was VERY disappointing. Not to mention, the wax got on my fingernails which, by the way, had a fresh coat of nail polish on them.. Yeah, my nails were ruined, I had to take the polish off and redo them. Anyways, I didn't like this product at all. The eyebrow stickers had way too much of an arch and aren't really usable, the wax smells like tree sap and is way too sticky even after it "hardens", the oil burns my sensitive skin, and I was actually disappointed in how tiny the bottle was for both the wax and the oil. I kept myself in high spirits until everything went all wrong. I hope others have better luck with this product but I really wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Also, if you do buy this product and your skin is ripped off from it, I found that putting neosporin on the area will keep it from scabbing up.

This stuff worked extremely well...no irritation, still smooth a week later. I made the mistake of buying NAIR wax because it came in a much,much larger container for about same price, but it was a total waste of money. This stuff is so messy and does NOT remove all the hair. I have wax all over my fingers that wont even come off with the special oil and to top it off I look like I have a Kool Aid mustache. Will never buy this product ever again!

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms - Fire Opal #11, (Original Packaging) Reviews
This is a very pretty, pink/orange color with flashes of blue and green. It's a slightly sheer, delicate color. This would be great for spring or summer. However, when I layered it over OPI's Russian Navy...Whoa! It took on a whole new dimension. Depending on the viewing angle, purples, teals, various shades of blue, and a slight green pop out in a multi-chrome effect. It is GORGEOUS! I also layered it over a cheaper bright coral colored polish and it gave the coral a pretty iridescent blue/green shimmer. The polish brush leaves something to be desired. I think it's too narrow. The polish consistency is a little watery and it applies a little streaky. Even with these drawbacks, it's still worth buying. I'm not a nail polish junkie, but I must get more of these prisms and experiment. Buy 'em and try 'em!It is nice to be get able to get things that you can't find in the store anymore. I use this color to mix with other polishes and make new and different colors.

Best Sally Hansen Salon Effects Value Twin Pack - Frock Star / Bling It Deals
If you follow the instructions as to how to apply these nail polish strips, and then in addition, blast a little warm air from your blow dryer to help "set" the glue to the nail they will last much longer than regualr nail polish or other imitation "sticker" nail strips. Every time I've used these nail polish stips I've only had to redo them due to nail outgrowth, not because of chipping. To me, these are better and cheaper than the whole "gel polish" trend right now.
You should definitely get these! Especially if you go a salon to get your nails done, you would save money! I just ordered all the glittery ones I could find on Amazon!
I have not used these particular colors (glitters?) but I have used others by Sally Hanson. I can tell you about that. The application was easy. Like REALLY easy. A little more time consuming that I imagined (still less than painting) so add a few extra minutes so you can get it right. Following the directions was not complicated. Application was a breeze, even using my non-regular hand. Better looking result than nail polish which sticks to your skin, and shows streaks, and if you're not careful -smudges!
After 8+ days my nails are still looking pretty darned good. The blue/silver leopard nail pictures (which I will add as a customer image) are my own hands and represent what the nails looks like after 8+ days. You'll notice the tips still look darned good, the wear is starting to show at the cuticle where my nails are growing out.
Still more pricey than polish. But there are times when you won't have the time to paint them. Or you will want a pattern (to get all the glitter you know you're talking several coats. Or you want them to last longer than polish. Buy these!

I'm not a big fan of the new kinds of patterns and "nail art" that seems to be trending right now. I think they're kind of childish and they take away from a woman's "sophisticated" feminine look (I'm not a whiny old lady, I'm 25), but the glitter ones are absolutely gorgeous, especially if you have long fingers and long nails! I'd never been able to grow my nails because, well, they grow a little bit and then one breaks, usually the first one to go is my middle right finger, which I guess takes the most abuse. And when one breaks, I have to clip them all because it would just look ridiculous otherwise. I was desperate. I took "hair, skin, and nails vitamins" for a few months to no avail. Nails still kept breaking. I even tried the nail-strengthening serums. I don't like acrylics either because I don't like the fake look. And I don't wanna go to a salon to have someone else do my nails for me, what a headache! So I thought I was gonna have to live with short nails and wear neutral colors to make my fingers look longer. Then I saw a girl at starbucks and she was wearing the golden glitter ones, and I commented on how beautiful and long her nails were, she told me she's been using the Sally Hansen stick-ons and if it hadn't been for these, her nails would've broken a long time ago. So I picked up a pack (the pink, which is just the prettiest pink there is without being overwhelming) that same night and--WOW! THANK YOU, STARBUCKS GIRL! My nails are FINALLY growing! My hands look more feminine and beautiful! And they've been on my nails for 9 days now without getting chipped and I can see how much my nails have grown in 9 days! They still look shiny and beautiful! I get compliments on my nails all the time, and I tell everyone that these are stick-on polish strips!You should definitely get these! I am not a manicure kind of gal but I do like to have pretty nails on occasion. These are perfect for me. It is important to follow the directions exactly and to put on a clear coat afterwards. The clear coat isn't mentioned in the instructions but I have found especially the glitzy nails with the sparkles it is an important step. The glitter is a bit pointy and needs the clear coat to smooth it out or you will feel the rough edges. You will snag your sheer clothing if you do not clear coat it afterwards.Be patient. Buy Sally Hansen Color Quick Nail Enamel - Black Cherry - 0.14 oz
I liked the quickness--no balancing a bottle or other hassles like that BUT the color is dark and will stain nails so I really needed a clear coat first. It also seemed to ooze into/under cuticles. Just be ready for those things and I think you will like the product.

OPI Natural Nail Base Coat, 0.5-Fluid Ounce Review
We're all looking to save money and not give up some simple luxuries. Let's face it, manicures are a luxury. I watched what my manicurist did and used and have decided to do my best to take care of my own nails. The most difficult part for me is getting the right shape on my nails. The easiest? The polish. I noticed she used OPI base, polish and top coat. They all go on so easy and dry very quick. It does take a little practice but I'm getting the hang of it. Best part is I can do easy touch ups because I have all my colors here at home.
I think it's important to use the base and top coats. It seems to keep the polish from wearing early.

I wear this one with OPI top coat and my nail polishes stay up to 7 days WITHOUT chipping and I use my hands a lot. This base coat also prevented my nails from getting any sort of yellow discoloration. This is a must buy if you want to wear your nail design for a while. I have read that adding a base coat can extend your manicure, but that just was not my experience. I found that the base coat caused my nail polish to fall off within hours, with brands such as revlon, cover girl, etc, and recently essie. That was until I found O.P.I.'s natural base coat. It creates a coat that is like a glue bond for the nail polish. I also feel like the colors of the nail polish are more vibrant with the base coat. I received this OPI base coat free when I bought two polishes at Ulta so I was very eager to try it. I used it for the first time as a base coat for the Nicki Minaj Metallic for Life polish. I was pleased to see that it gave my nails a very smooth finish to them before I applied the polish. It did not help the polish stay on for very long since the Metallic for Life polish started chipping off in two days ( I have bad luck with glitter sometimes so I did not soley judge the product by this experience alone). I was very happy to see that it did indeed stop my nails from being stained which happens almost always with dark polish. Overall, it gave my nails a smooth finish and helped dark colors not to stain my nails so I was happy with this product and would recommend to anyone who just wants a basic light base coat. It is not a ridge filler or anything so I did not expect any miracles. Review of Sally Hansen Salon Nail Lacquer Polish, Hollywood Scarlet.
I really like this Sally Hansen Salon polishes. Have no idea why they would change something that works so well. This polish has great opacity, good colors. It applies smoothly, like butter and lasts for well, I don't know as I change my polish often, but it lasts at least for 4 days which is what I think I left it on for.

Cheap Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Nail Polish, Bittersweet, .5
. . .if you like deep, rich color. the pix shows more of a wine color, but is actually darker than that and less merlot. lasting power is pretty good also. also got "commander in chic" which is a different grey/lavender shade.
