People think I'm crazy when I say that Lacross is the only brand of nail clipper I can tolerate using. I can't find them in stock at any stores, so I turned to online.

This is exactly as advertised. Super sharp, and engineered perfectly to get the job done. This thing's gonna last me forever. Chances are that someone will steal it from me before it needs to be replaced, so it's a good thing they're still a low price for being so perfect!

I love these polishes. The trick is to apply the insta dry no chip top coat right after the first application. I then apply the color over the top coat and put a second insta dry no chip top coat and voila my nails are good to go for a couple of weeks. If you use one coat and no top coat, it will chip easily. It seems like more work but since both polishes dry quick, the process is fast. The brush is wide so be careful.

I love Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polish because I am impatient about letting my nails dry. When I try other polishes, I always come back to this one.

An added bonus of buying it on Amazon is that it costs less than at most stores, and you can get a "subscription" to the product, timed to when you will need your next bottle.

Because the polish is quick-drying, it does dry out and get a little goopy faster than some other polishes. However, this is not much of a deterrent for me because of the convenience, price, and color (Expresso) of the product.

The Expresso color is actually the only Insta-Dri color with which I am completely satisfied. It is a mauve-ish, light burgundy-ish, purple-ish, red-ish, color with hints of gray and brown-Kind of a neutral accent. It's not as bright as a red or as light as a nude, but it still seems classic and is very wearable. I've received several compliments. I also like the Cinnasnap color, but it is a little too dark, and Petal Pusher is nice, but it's difficult to get it on evenly because it is so light.

The polish can last from a few days to over a week. I recommend using two coats with a topcoat. Each thin coat takes about 1-2 minutes to dry. If you do two coats plus a topcoat, it will probably take about 10-15 minutes.

Nice colors. Brush is wide so you need fewer strokes to paint your nails. Drys in a minute or less so it's great for when you want color on your nails but have little to no time. I often apply it as I'm heading out the door for work. Because it's so easy to apply and dries so quickly, I wear polish more often and always get complements. Yes, it does chip easier than some other polishes. I just do a quick touch-up.

I love this color and get a lot of compliments on it. Only bad side is that it only looks good 2 days TOPS and usually starts chipping by the end of the second day, even with top coat. I will continue to use since it's inexpensive though.

I have lots of nail products and get manicures regularly, but I have never had a worse nail polish for chipping almost the minute it is dry! Have tried it a few times (in a dark color), and it ALWAYS chips right away. Will never buy this again, even though I really like the color (mine is Mochachino).

I loved the white tip polish and the clear top coat. The small strips it comes with to help you get your lines nice and straight don't really work for me. I can put them on and paint my white tip but when I take them off it ruins the line of the tip so it isn't straight anymore. I have tried waiting for the white polish to dry and doing it while it is still wet but neither work! Not sure if I'm not doing it right but I tried anything I can think of it never works! Just lucky I have a straight hand! The base color (can think of what to call it) but the color that is lighter than the one for the white tip. If you use it the polish streaks the color doesn't go on evenly unless you give it a couple coats! Then it's so white that it doesn't stand out from the white tip very much! So I don't even use that polish! It's a hit and miss product for me.

The price is great, love the look, does not take very long to do but does not last. I have tried base coats, no-chip top coats and still get chipping. If you don't mind re-doing your nails daily, this is the product for you, if like me, you want something more durable find something else. I have no recommendations as I have not found anything yet but would love some recommendations!

I am a clutz when it comes to nail care and hair styling, so when a product comes along that is pretty much idiot proof I jump all over it. Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail polish strips is such a product. Looks great on long or short nails, is easy to apply, doesn't seem to dry out or stain nails and really stays put. Mine last up to 2 weeks even though I use alcohol swabs and disinfecting wipes every day. They can chip a little when they dry out under these conditions, but with the various designs one barely notices. Like I said, "Idiot proof."

My nails tend to snap and split and regular nail polish makes it worse. So far, Nail Effects seems to be offering some protection against this.

The novelty designs are a lot of fun, but I wish they came in more normal colors, too. Are you listening, Sally?

I'm picky about my nail polish, and find most brands to be too thick, clumpy and difficult to apply evenly. I love this polish (I have tried a few colors) because they are consistent.

They are smooth and glide across the top of my nail easily. Even when I do my nails myself (I am pretty clumsy), it always looks beautiful. I usually use Opi Ridge Filler .5 oz. as a base coat, and Sally Hansen Dry Kwik Nail Color Dryer-0.45 oz as a glossy top coat.

I have 161 Teak Rose and love it! It reminds me of an 'old spice' vintage color.

I highly recommend this product.

I purchased this in Gold Get 'Em at the drug store, but the polish was very thin and runny. It was difficult to apply as it was so runny it clumped up along my cuticles. I had to apply several thin coats to build up the color. Though the color was pretty, I don't know if it was worth the mess and time.

I like Revlon nail polish second only to OPI brand. Red is too bright for me, and orange is too bold, but this color is a warm tone somewhere in between that is flattering to fair skin.

I bought some of these at the drug store. They are AWESOME! You peel them, stick them on your nails, smooth them out then file off the edges and PRESTO, you have cool flowered nails! The "Girl Flower" pattern is super cute with fun colors and nice detail. These come in many different patterns and colors...I would LOVE to see them come out with more styles. These are a lot easier than using nail polish, they last just as long and there is no mess, no bottle to spill or break, no nasty chemical smell and no hassle. I doubt I will ever give up traditional liquid nail polish completely but I will certainly be buying more of these. They are a lot faster, you don't have to wait for them to dry and they come in many patterns that would be impossible to duplicate with nail polish. If you want to put a clear top coat over them they actually last a few days longer than nail polish. They also come off easily with regular nail polish remover. This is a great product!

This product applied really easy but I dont recommend trying to do it in a hurry because you have to make sure to cover the whole nail and make sure the strip sticks securely. The strips are of good quality and dont look cheap or tacky. trying this product has hooked me and now I want to try the other patterns!

These are the best invention! It took me about 30 minutes to do because I wanted them really neat and flawless but they couldn't be easier! In each kit you get 16 polish strips. My nails are about average length. I managed to use only 1 pack of 8 strips to do both hands so I have another 8 to use at another time. (This listing is for two kits 32 strips.) I painted my nails first with Sally Hansen Hard as Wraps because my nails are very brittle. I washed my hands and used the smooth side of the buffer to ready my nails. The polish had no trouble adhering but the packaging doesn't say if applying clear coat first will lessen it's stickiness. Other than that concernthey are magic and so cute!

I bought the Girl Flower pattern for my first try. I was getting ready to go on vacation to the beach, so I figured this bright colorful pattern would be perfect! It took me about an hour to put them on the first time. I also put a clear coat on top of it, so that it would last as long as possible. The directions are pretty straight forward, except when you get to the part where it says to "file" off the excess. The file would not work. I ended up using nail clippers to clip the edges around my nails. It worked and looked great, so it didn't really bother me.

They stayed on for about a week and a half. They looked really good, and I was getting a lot of compliments on them, until the pieces near the cuticle started to snag in my hair in the shower. I still think that 10+ days was pretty good for me. I was doing dishes every day, plus I have a baby and toddler that I was bathing every day, and showering myself. Along with being at the beach and swimming in the ocean, 10 days seemed pretty good to me. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is because of the snagging. When they started snagging and flaking near the cuticles, they looked bad. And they were so irritating, that I felt like I had to take them off. They also took a good amount of time to remove and a lot of cotton balls. Overall, I think they look and feel great! I already bought three other patterns for the fall. Hopefully, next time it won't take me as long to apply.

Cheap Sally Hansen Simple Spa Wax Refill Kit

I am one of those poor unfortunate women who can practically grow a full beard. Shaving gets ugly fast, plucking takes too long, and going to a salon all the time is pricey. I have tried quite a few different hair removal products at home and this one is my favorite. It's very affordable (each refill kit comes with two pots of wax, making each pot cost around 7.50 or 8 dollars). I've tried the heat in the microwave kits and some of those work well but can get really sticky. Some of those will wash off skin really well but can be difficult on other things like carpet, fabric, or even linoleum. Some of those microwave kits are not even easily washable off of skin, making leftover wax on the skin truly difficult to deal with and heaven help you if you get it on a porous surface.

So I will outline what I think are the pros and cons of this system:

Pros:

Works very well pulling out stubborn hair.

Comes with quite a few wooden sticks, more than I've ever needed.

Each pot comes with a lid and can be resealed between uses.

Once the wax has hardened it will come off of most surfaces by simply yanking it off.

Inexpensive compared to most other solutions.

Having used this system for over a year I can honestly say it has started thinning out my unwanted hair.

Cons:

Wax can take a while to heat. When a tub is full it can take forever to heat up (and I remove the rubber ring to make it go faster). By forever I mean an hour or more. When the tub gets smaller and after the wax has been heated once (even if it's nearly full still), it heats up much faster.

There is no "warm" setting. It's on or it's off so either it will continue to get hotter, burning you, or you turn it off and hope to go fast enough that it doesn't cool too much to not be used. The solution I found was to turn in on for a few moments and then off again. Not ideal though.

Overall great product. I've been using it for over a year now and because I am so satisfied I am not really looking for a new solution any time soon. Hope this helps!

I really like this product. It is very easy to use (you need the Sally Hansen Simple Spa wax warmer). Best of all, I don't need to mess with cloth strips.

I find that if I use latex gloves I don't even need an applicator. I just dip my fingers in the warmed wax and use them. It is much easier to do detail work, such as eyebrows, that way.

When this product came out (the warmer/wax kit) i was skeptical; in the past i had tried similar products and was disappointed. HOwever, i bought the wax warmer from Sally Hansen and was amazed at how similar it was to my spa experience. Granted i have been going to the spa for waxing for a long time, so i had absorbed techniques of using the wax, but the results were amazing. My only comment would be to be patient when warming the wax: the instructions say warm for 20 minutes; i find that it is double that. It should be easy to stir/scoop the wax when you use it if not, let it heat more. Also follow the tips in the instructions.

Regardless i was so happy with it that i went ahead and bought these refills for it as i expect to continue to use this kit to stretch out my visits to the spa for waxing.

I'm hooked on this product, have been using for just over a year. For some reason it has been difficult to find the refills at the stores now so I order several at a time. Some helpful advice: the black rubber ring around the tins is made to keep them from making direct contact with the heating surface. Down side is, it takes forever to heat the wax especially if it's a new tin. I take the ring off on just keep an eye on the wax checking in regularly and stirring it. Once it's melted enough I turn the heat off and turn it back on if I need to. It's really easier than it sounds, not as time consuming, melts the wax well and quickly. Hope this helped and enjoy smooth skin.
