I used this on my toes and it worked GREAT!!!! Much cheaper than getting a design at nail salon. Fairly easy to apply, just have to take your time and follow directions. This product will do 2 sets of toes because you cut them down for toe nails. I will be using this pattern for 4th of July and painting a blue square in corner to resemble flags!

When I got it my box was already opened 👎

The strips looked very sparkly and shiny but once you took off the plastic they were dull 👎

They took longer but didn't have to wait to dry nails👍

The next morning they are chipped👎

I would purchase this item again but DON'T PICK THIS STYLE

It came really fast and It's really easy to use. If your using it for faster nail growth, put it on 3x a day. Otherwise it says to put it on nightly. It also came with cuticle cream, and a bag for everything which i know use for nail polish. It also came with a nail file key chain :) I'm very pleased with this product.

My nails have always been very prone to peeling and brittleness. I have a job that's hard on my hands, and I could never get my nails to look decent for any amount of time. I used lots of creams and base coats, but nothing stopped my nails from peeling and breaking.

I recently bought the Sally Hansen Miracle Cure for Severe Problem Nails and used it as directed. Three weeks later, my nails look great! They are growing and, incredibly, NONE of them are splitting or peeling anymore! What do you know, a product that works as advertised. Now that my nails all look great, I can use colored polish on them. I'm still using Miracle Cure as a basecoat too. Try it out, use it as directed, and see your nails improve within 10 days.

This polish is a new experience. As one reviewer said, it does seem to soak in as well as sit on top. I could feel it and when it dried, I saw no sign of the dry, peeling areas I know my nails currently have. I bought this at a local drugstore as an emergency treatment for having committed the unpardonable sin of peeling off my nail polish. Took quite a bit of nail plate with it. I knew I was doing wrong but just couldn't seem to stop myself.

Anyway, the box even says that it is free of the big three so don't be scared to try it simply because it used to contain formaldehyde. But keep in mind, this is a strengthener, not a hardener. My nails are not hard but they are flexible. Even without the abuse I just put them through, my nails are somewhere between hard and soft but they are dry with areas of sometimes severe peeling. They also have vertical ridges and one of them has started to split vertically even though I don't see much of a ridge in the area. Acetone does tend to dry them out, which is why I try to use something less harsh unless I'm taking off glitter. I've used other products that are supposed to be moisturizing but I can still see the dry, peeling areas after application. This is the first time my nails actually look healthy and whole. I'm anxious to see just how long they'll grow using this.

It's doubtful that this will permanently heal the dry, peeling areas. Nails are dead once they see daylight so repair has got to take place before the nail actually forms. This is more likely a product to be used on a continual basis or whatever problems the product is helping will likely return if it's no longer being used.

For now, though, I'm loving this stuff and thankful that there is a way of protecting my poor, abused nails while the damage grows out.

Update: 04/16/13 I can now say that this product works just like it says it does but there is one catch you have to continue using it or your nails will revert to their old ways. Which is fine for me because I always use two coats of base coat anyway so I just make this one the first base coat then put my sticky base coat on top.

Once my nails got as long as I thought I wanted, I did stop using it. As soon as I did that, they started peeling and breaking again. In fact, if I don't put it right back on after removing my old polish, the next time they are expose to water for more than a simple hand washing, the trouble starts. Sometimes even after the simple hand washing.

Also, it does tend to thicken up as you use it but polish thinner fixes that right up.

I'm still loving this product for the protection it gives my nails but be aware that it will not change your nails permanently. Only proper, consistent care can do that.

I had a split running down the middle of my nail that caught on everything, ripping it down to the quick. As soon as I used this, the split sealed up and hasn't ripped. My nail has even grown above the quick in the 2 weeks I have been using this. I used to get gel applications as the salon to help me with the split in my nail, but that got to be too expensive. I would recommend giving it a try if you have problem nails. Just a minor complaint I have with this product. After application, tiny little bubbles form preventing a clear look.

Honest reviews on Sally Hansen Miracle, Cure for Severe Problem Nails, 0.45 Fluid

I have been using Sally Hansen's nail polish products for a long time, and recently, the "Maximum Growth" line. But the clear polish used to have a nice pink tinge to it, now it is clear and yellow. It would go on clear and then turn yellowish, and was drying out the bare nail surface, etc. So I decided to try the "Miracle Cure for Severe Problem Nails" clear polish. Instructions say just use one coat on bare nails, or use as a base coat. The single coat stays on long, doesn't yellow, chip. Two thin coats will last an entire week. It dries fast and stays shiny too. BUT most importantly this "miracle cure" does not have toluene and formaldehyde that dries out the nails and causes peeling and chipping. And it must have the right stuff because my nails are in great condition, strong, and look great.

I am now getting it sent monthly as an add-on item with the automatic shipping plan (15% discount!). And any other old nail polish can be used for stopping stocking runs.

All formaldehyde nail products work if not over used. For people with very thin, peeling nails you can wind up with a worse problem after a few weeks. Best to do a one week on, three weeks off program. I use no more than once every eight weeks. Formaldehyde works by binding the nail keratin fibers of the nail, but over-use leads to extreme drying of the nail bed. Then after a few weeks of what looks like a great response, the nails will begin to peel even worse. I spent months correcting for over use. (Finally got better with DermaNail the dermatologist recommended.) A little is good, but be wary. Also nails need heavy moisturizing at least twice a day, even more for thin, peeling nails.

This product is amazing. Don't let the old name fool you. I bought just to have a clear polish and got much more than I bargained for. I put on two coats and undercoated under my nails. Then every day afterwards I put on one topcoat and undercoat. In 10 days my nails looked great. They were protected as I did dishes and other household chores hard on nails. I have soft and peeling nails that tear all the time. No more. My nails look even better than when I paid for scupts. Thank you Sally Hanson!!! I sing your praises. I only used Sally H nails color since I trust their formulas.

I don't know anything about nail strengtheners, but when I first started having chipping and peeling issues about a year ago, I didn't do anything about it. Unfortunately, the problem didn't clear up on it's own, and I put off finding anything to resolve my problem. Fortunately, when I went to the beauty aisle, this miracle in a bottle was available! I originally glanced past it because I figured the small price tag correlated with the quality. However, I took the time to read the reviews on Amazon and noticed people were having better results with this cheap polish than they were with the golden, sparkly, $20 bottle of polish! I took the plunge and I'm so happy I did. I have used the product for a little over one week, and I am amazed at how much better my nails are looking! I applied one thin coat a day for one week, and after the week, I removed the polish and started over. I have noticed my nails still peel slightly and have chipped twice, but the length of my nails are definitely improving. My only complaint is my nails are growing at significantly different speeds, so I don't have similar length-ed nails, but I'm sure that has more to do with my own nails than this product. I will definitely buy another bottle!

My nails are thin and they crack easily. Not only that, but I wash dishes and wash my hands so often, the water often makes them worse. However, I've found my little miracle when it comes to healthy nails. I've tried every other green tea nail polish out there, and every polish that claims it will make your nails grow... And Sally Hansen's Maximum Growth is the only one that's actually done what they say it will do. I redo my nails about every two weeks, and I always ALWAYS use one coat of this as a base coat and then proceed with whatever design I plan to do. This would have been my fourth bottle, if I didn't receive it broken in the mail. Amazon promptly refunded me though. But that will not stop me from purchasing it. I just need to buy it at the store like I've been doing.

My nails are slow-growing and brittle. They responded to this product within a week and soon I'll be getting a french manicure to show off my new nails!

I tried this when I ran out of my regular nail growth stuff, Rejuvacote. Results were disappointing! Didn't dry as quickly (you have to apply it every day), my nails started to chip (again) in a way they never did after I started using Rejuvacote. It also didn't cover up the ridges that have developed on the surface of my nails during the last few years (I'm 63). Too bad I used to like Sally Hansen, too...but not up to snuff.
