I have been waxing for years, and it does take years to realllllly get down the art of waxing yourself. I have tried a large number of waxes.....from cold to hot, and have found that Nair Microwavable Wax, is a complete package with everything you need to perform the job. It heats up the easiest, cools down the slowest, takes the most hair off, and being water soluble is the easiest to get rid of that sticky feeling you are left with after waxing, as well as being able to get it off of anything you may drip it on......oh, and it smells yummy !! I was lost, trying to find it in stores (and I am down to two boxes of it, I had found on sale years ago and luckily bought about 7 of them !!)....before I ran out and didnt have any to use, I checked here, and not only found it, but at a FANTASTIC price. They are $10.50 plus s/h for one box on the Nair website, and here I paid about $15 for two boxes, with free shipping, having it sent regularly. The good part about waxing, is that it comes back thinner (having to reform and push through your skin) and lighter in colour, and you will find lovely bald spots where there will never be another hair again woohoo !! My armpits have a thin little line down the middle of them, and it continues to get smaller. Girls out there that found this product didnt work for them, needed to keep on doing it. You will find, for all intents and purposes, that it is not the product, but the user of the product, that cant make this stuff work. It literally took me a few years to be good at it, and many years to start learning little tricks and ways of pulling the skin to assist in the release of the hair, as well as which consistency works best for the specific area you are waxing. You will find that you use far less ripping sheets, as you get better at the job, and will be left with leftover sheets for your next box (I used to have to buy extras, but if that happens, dont be alarmed, just know that as your "talent" increases, the ripping sheets will decrease). I love this wax, and will continue to have it delivered, until I no longer have hair anywhere that I dont want it !! :-)

-doesn't get out coarser hair

Overall I would say that this product decently works. I'm a beginning self-waxer and this was easy to navigate with no mess. I only had 1 minor issue with this wax (which I kind of anticipated but wanted to try this anyway). Because it is sugar based I didn't feel like it harden enough to really "trap" coarse hair. I have a small amount stubborn, thick hair and none of it really came off. If you have coarser hair I would recommend using a harder wax than any of the sugar or honey varieties.

The product works wonderfully on normal hair. And I love that it is water soluble. It makes for effortless clean up on your body (sticky fingers included) and on any hardware spills. Also if you need more strips (which is doubtful because they give you more than enough) you can just wash out the used ones and air dry them.

have been using this product for few years now. i have tried others as well like sally hansen's wax etc but this one works the best. it is very easy to use. i would highly recommend this wax!

I have tried so many different hair removal products and devices and this is the best! It removes all the hair the first time and washes up with plain water. No Mess! It comes with alot of cloths and I just throw each one in a bowl of water as I use them and then they just rinse clean and can be reused. I also had alot less pain with this stuff because it doesn't grab your skin at all, just the hair.

I was very excited to order this product. I read the directions carefully and tried several times, but it did not remove one hair. I was explained by my daughter that Nair products seem to work for people with fine hair but not for women w/coarse hair. I guess my italian decent is to blame. Do not waste your dollars if you know you have this hair type. What's a real bummer is that I had to buy the double pack. I hope this review saves someone the disappointment and the money!

I've tried several other Sally Hansen products. I like their lip treatment products and their nail polish. I tried this with high hopes, I paid almost $7.00 for it and I figured it would be worth it...not by a long shot. I used this product three times and not only did it chip off my nails less than 24 hours after applying, but it actually made my nail condition worse! By the end of 12 days, I had lost the good nails that I did have, and the rest were chipping and breaking off.

Please DO NOT buy this product. I should have stuck with a product I tried originally called Quimica. It can actually be found on Amazon and it is good. It's not amazing or a miracle cure, but it definitely makes your nails thicker and more durable and it's worth the money.

My nails are thin and peel easily, which for a guitar player is not good. First, I clean my nails and wipe with alcohol to remove any surface oil. I apply a thin coat let dry, repeat twice. Takes a while to thoroughly dry, so apply while watching a movie or such. A little oil around the nail afterwards helps, too. I add an additional coat every couple days. Eventually it will get too thick & start to peel which is sign to remove and start again.

This is one of those "you get what you pay for" kinda things. It's a little more expensive than some other drug store polishes that offer thicker stronger nails, but nowhere near the price of some others. I've about gone through the bottle, I'm down to where I have to "tip it" to get enough polish on my brush

Its SUPER thick. I guess that's really the whole science behind it? It's not like regular polish. It gets even stiffer the more you work with it so three strokes and be done. I was getting bubbling that was making my colored polish on top look bumpy. I can't say I figured out how to stop it completely but do not shake the bottle before using it will help. As far as keeping your nails from breaking, yeah it does that! I don't think I've gone a week before without some sort of nail damage, now I HAVE to file my nails because they are too long! I typically do two fairly heavy coats. I'll do one at night, let dry about an hour before going to bed, and do one in the morning. To even things out and minimize the effects of any bubbling I will add a coat of a "ridge filler" before adding color.

Overall if you are looking for a reasonably priced fix for nails that tend to break YES this is your polish. I have not found anything better but I try not to pay more than $10 for polish, so something else might be out there but for now, I think I'll be buying a second bottle.

My nails noticeably stronger then anytime in my life, after I used half the bottle, a different consistency and a thicker application w/ small bubbles showing through the finish. I wondered if the more the product is exposed to air, the more the product changes for the worst. I had spent $8 at Walmart. I loved it, went to buy a new bottle to get the beginning results I had gotten, and cannot find it anywhere except on-line, Sally Hansen Maximum Shield is it's replacement? I wonder.

CONS:

1. The bottle I purchased didn't come with a brush, so I had to use a small paint brush to apply the coat.

2. The liquid goes on nicely, but dries with bubbles in it making the surface look like I poured super glue on my nails.

3. The bubbles created a bumpy texture so any top coats of colour look awful.

PROS:

1. Goes on thick

2. Dries almost instantly

3. Adhere's well to nails

Bottom line, I decided to go with another brand (Nutri Nail thickener and Nutri Nail Strengthener) and they are MUCH better for pretty much the same price.

I have really thick eyebrows, so it's a pain in the ass keeping them neat with tweezers. this makes it really easy and fast. i do pluck 3 or 4 stubborn hairs, but that's it. turns 20 min. into 2.

i will say that you should wipe down the area you're waxing with alcohol to remove any oil first. i have oily skin, so this makes a BIG difference in its affectiveness.

i've been using these for years now. i keep a constant supply.

The only reason I didn't give these one star is because the shape WAS easy enough to TRACE it onto the (MUCH more effective) Sally Hansen rectangular wax strips I had been using. I tried with washed skin, unwashed skin, rubbing alcohol, you name it.

(Of course, it WAS easier to tweeze those select hairs afterwards as they were now gluey and rigid and stuck straight out.)

I suppose for reasonably fine-haired people they MIGHT work. But my brows are as black, course, and thick as Lebanese brows go. This was like trying to wax my face with Con-tac paper (At least with Con-tac paper I could've lined my kitchen drawers afterward).

I got these thinking that I wouldn't have to go get my brows waxed anymore since I had a bad experience at school with some wax. These are OK if you have pretty neatly groomed brows and just need to get a few stray hairs but for an actual brow groom these don't work at all. It is like putting scotch tape on there and ripping it off.

I bought some surgi brazilian wax a few days ago but found it to be way to messy to try and use on my eyebrows especially since I had never waxed at home before. I went back to ULTA today and bought these to try when I got home. They were a little tricky for me to place (I had it on the wrong side of my eyebrow) but once I figured it out they were great. Took the hair off as long as I actually pulled it off quickly and did not leave any stickiness on the skin like other wax. Really easy and great product!

The only trick is to make sure your skin and eyebrow hair is clean, dry, and you pull in the correct direction. I really can't understand how anyone could not get this to work for them!?! Since these are already perfectly shaped, it's so fast to get it done right. It does leave me with a little redness, so I usually do these right before I go to bed. No sign of redness by morning. I usually do not have to pluck any, but occasionally there is a stray I didn't get under a strip that I'll just pluckuser error there. I've been using them a few years now, love them!

Don't know where ask about this. I have just bought 4 jars of Nightly foot repair. On the back was a tab that said peel here and it looks like something else is printed there however when it peeled off there is nothing there -on any of my jars. I am assuming that the customer just grabs some and rub it all over their feetbut can not be sure there is something more I should know. Is there some secret way to separate the tab from the instructionsif that is what I am seeing but can not read. Any suggestions? Pat Padian

The first time I used this product, I had no idea what I was doing, but managed quite well. There was some issues though. Rather than green, some of the pieces were yellow green. You could tell that they were faded. I thought, "Okay, I can work around that" and I did.

But after the smaller case that holds the actual salon effects is open, you really can't use what is left over again.

I may buy this product again in the future because I really liked the design, but I would have preferred to know all this before I bought it.

First time using these and I must say these are GREAT!! I read some reviews where people didn't like them because they thought they were too hard to put on. I must say...watch some videos on youtube first, before you try! This helped me a lot, after watching 3 videos I felt like I could do it and I could!! They came out GREAT!!! Take time when you first start and put a top coat on. I will be buying more of these in the future.

I have used them before that I bought from the store, I saw this cool halloween design on here and they didn't have at the store so I ordered it. After using them in the past with no problems, these were hard to work with, didn't come off the strip or plastic easily like they should have and I had to almost scratch it off the plastic, which ruined almost hlaf of it, luckily I have short stubby fingernails so there was plenty left for my nails but someone with long nails would have wasted their money. Normally I love these and they are pretty easy to put on, so I think the seller sent me some pretty old ones, prob some that were left over from last Halloween.

I love that amazon offers these at a lower price than walmart. The green and black barbed wire design is the second box ive ordered offline. I absolutely love them and have gotten so many compliments on them! They were super easy to put on and came in the mail fairly quickly. Definetely recommend to anyone thinking about purchasing.
