This is the only polish I now buy! The coverage and colors are wonderful. The short stubby brush is wonderful. Why weren't brushes made like this before. A great product.

Why do they discontinue great colors. Especially with the fall coming! Neighbor loved it and I wasn't giving up my bottle. Search the stores then found online. One for her and one for me! Perfect!

It has a little bit of a copper color to it. I fell in love with it after I bought it at Target one day. But, of course, Target never carried it again. This seems to be the case with cosmetics of every kind across the board. Obviously, it is some marketing technique I have yet to understand. But I did find it here on Amazon and was thrilled! I get compliments on this color all the time. It's showy enough to stand out as being different, but not over-the-top; a very classy color.

First, some background on me. I've been using Harmony's Gelish and OPI nail gel polish for a year now. I love that they don't chip for over 2 weeks and most times I change the color because they've grown out rather than because of chipping issues. I thought Sally Hansen's Insta Gel Strips would cut down on the application time of regular gel polishes so I decided to try it.

Here's my review:

Pros:

1. Nice color choices, including patterns that I can't create with regular gel polish.

2. As easily removable as regular nail gel polish.

Cons:

1. These strips DO NOT LAST 2 WEEKS. My box said I would get 10 days of chip-free wear. Again, I'm experienced in applying and sealing gel nails and usually go almost 3 weeks without needing a polish change. I carefully applied and sealed these strips, didn't do excessive dish washing or anything that would promote chipping, and 3 of my nails chipped in less than 48 hours after applying them. By the end of the 5th day 5 of my 10 nails were chipped.

2. The size of the strips: one package contains 16 strips, 2 each of 8 sizes of strips. Of these 16 strips the smallest ones were too tiny for my pinkie and the next size up was a huge size up (rather than slight). I have medium-sized hands, not petite or large. I ended up having to trim two larger strips to fit the sides of my pinkies. I also had to trim two more strips to fit the sides of my middle fingers since those strips were too large.

3. The shape of the strips: the strips themselves are shaped different on each end, one end is square-ish while the other is more oval, so you can use the end that best fits the natural shape of the cuticle end of each of your nails. While some might think this is a Pro, rather than a Con, the problem is that the strip tapers in shape. So if you have chosen the square-ish end for a longer nail the strip narrows (tapers) toward the end of your nail leaving your natural nail showing on both sides.

4. The time involved in choosing appropriately sized strips for each nail and trimming each to "fit" takes longer than just brushing on gel polish from a bottle.

5. Per Sally Hansen's instructions, you have to stretch the gel strip as you apply it to your natural nail so it will curve to your nail (kind of like a plastic cling wrap idea) but you have to be extremely careful to not stretch it too hard or it will rip in the wrong place. Yes, you are supposed to rip the end of the strip off on the tip of your nail, but doing so without tearing in the wrong spot proves difficult. I used the Pinkies Up pink sparkle strips so I was able to "mend" the rips with additional pieces of discarded strips without anyone noticing my mistakes. I believe this wouldn't be fixable if you were using a patterned or solid colored strip.

6. The price: Again, you get 16 strips, enough for one manicure. At $13 a box I get more bang for my buck with a $15 bottle of gel polish that I can use many, many more times.

OVERALL: I wasted $12.99 on trying these strips. I would NOT recommend these Sally Hansen's Insta Gel Strips. They need to go back to R&D and come up with a better executed product. Stick with Harmony's Gelish or OPI's nail gel polish.

I just did the Get Juiced on my nails last night. ADORABLE color and super quick and easy to apply. And with all the different styles available, there's a strip for every occasion.

As far as sizing issues go, I always pick a strip that is too big rather than too small. The reason is once you have put the strip on your nail and pressed it down, you can use the wood stick that comes in the box to "trim" it to fit perfectly. Hard to describe in writing but I'll try... Use the angled side of the stick and press down on your cuticle where the strip overhangs. Do this the entire length of where it doesn't fit, and you will soon have separated the overhang from the part that is on your nail. Do this BEFORE the top coat step.

The other REALLY IMPORTANT APPLICATION TIP: **ROUGH UP YOUR NAIL before applying the strip** (even on a regular manicure you should do this as it gives the polish somewhere to cling to, never paint smooth nails the polish will come right off). So use your buffer #1 on all your nails, then wash them with soap and water to remove the dust and excess oil, THEN apply the color strips. Then do your top coat, and be sure to cure under the light several times (I usually do 3 or 4 times just to be sure, once is NOT enough) and then wipe them off with the alcohol pads to make 'em shine.

I've never been a big nail person as it just takes too much time. But seeing as these are easy to put on and LAST I have been wearing nail polish for a couple months straight now. UNHEARD OF for me!

I have not had the chipping issues that other reviewers have had I've had the poppy flower strips on for a week now, and have not had a single chip. I also noticed that another reviewer said that the UV light doesn't dry the polish if you follow the directions, it will. The top coat feels tacky until you do a final wipe with the cleanser pads. I am super happy with these strips. I obsess about nail polish colors and chipping, and these look great and last. I cut the strips to better fit my nails with sharp scissors. Then clean with cleanser pad, apply strips on all five fingers of one hand, paint with top coat, dry, and wipe with cleanser pad again. Then repeat with other hand. I'm getting multiple colors they're great! I will concur that Target has them cheaper though I think $11.99 and I get a coupon for them every other time I go for buy one, get one half off, so only end up paying about $8 apiece. With how long they last and how good they look, totally worth it!

Honest reviews on Sally Hansen Salon Insta Gel Strips

Pros:

I LOVE the color, it's like a light pink disco ball. It's so vibrant, plus the shine from the top coat makes it sparkle even more.

The strips are very easy to use. Gel polish is normally pretty easy, but the strips are even easier. It took me about 5 minutes total (with distractions) to do all 10 nails myself. Though I will say, I have the Sensationail UV lamp so I can do 4 fingers at once and both thumbs at once.

The strips come with a cuticle stick and tiny nail file

Also comes with it's own top coat that seems pretty thick and durable.

Cons:

You only get 16 strips (8 sizes, you get 2 of each), so it's expensive for only one full manicure. You can get more manicures out of the gel polish bottles and they cost less.

This listing is about $16, but Target currently has these for about $13. Still expensive though, in my opinion.

Overall impression: Lasts slightly longer than a regular mani, but nothing like a real gel one.

Pros: Easy to do, especially if you aren't good with clean lines. Looks nice while it lasts. Easier to remove than a real gel manicure. Not messy. Price. If your nails aren't too long, you can actually use 1 strip on two nails.

Cons: LED has a short and doesn't stay on. Peels slightly about a week in. CAN chip, even with a few top coats.

I think this is an instance of "You get what you pay for". I would have given them 3 stars (maybe even 4), but the lamp doesn't stay on consistently. This is a real problem since you can only put one finger in at a time. You can fix the peeling by filing it a bit and applying another clear coat. However, the chipping (which isn't terribly frequent) just is what it is.

This is a very pretty nail polish. It is basically a clear base that is packed with magenta microglitter and a little bit larger chunks of silver holographic glitter. The formulation of this polish tends to vary based on color. In this particular color, the polish is a little bit thinner but it still provides perfect full coverage with two coats. YOu just have to be a little bit more careful with the application to avoid drips. It dries really quickly. The only downside is that it does tend to chip and peel off quite easily. Even applying a top coat does not seem to effect the wear, it just does not stay on as well as I would like. Overall though, I really like this polish. It is much less expensive than similar glitters that I have seen, so I am willing to deal with reapplying.

I bought these at the drug store and will be returning them and trying a different brand. The tips are so thick I don't know how anyone could use them to trim cuticles or how they can be labelled "Ultra Fine".

These scissors are absolutely perfect whether you're using them for cuticles (which I generally don't), to cut tags off of dresses (sometimes) or to trim kids nails (a lot). They're not too thick as mini-scissors tend to be and they cut perfectly, leaving no jagged edges.

Same scissors cost double the price at the store. If you need them, why not play less and have some one bring them to your store?

Honest reviews on Sally Hansen Beauty Tools, Cuticle Tamer-Cuticle Scissors-Ultra

I only gave two stars because despite being high quality it is not in any way an ultra fine tip. The tip was the reason I bought these and the blades are much too thick and blunt to trim cuticles. I am disappointed in the tip vs title but the product is nice and sturdy so for that I will keep them and continue looking for cuticle scissors.

Not bulky like other cuticle scissors. Angled for easy contact with the cuticle. Sharp. I push my cuticles back after showering, apply a one-minute gel cuticle dissolver, rinse that off, and then use these trimmers to clean away the excess.

This product has lasted so far 8 days. No peeling or chipping. If you cannot afford a uv light or can't use uv topcoats this works!

It has been 16 days now and no peeling, very minor chipping on the edge of the nail.

It's decently priced, so I didn't expect much of it. It did keep my nail polish on for slightly more than a week, so I'll give it props for that, but it's really not that shiny. Most top coats I used before are a lot shinier than this one. Also, it does not dry that fast, I had to wait for at least 15 minutes for it to dry, so it's not that special compared to other speed drying nail polish. Other than that, it did keep my nail polish on for slightly more than a week, and it did not chip, so I like it.

This is a great product. It really holds your polish on and resists polish chipping. Would definitely recommend to others.

I have literally been waiting for this to show up online so I can tell people how awful this product is. I am usually not this harsh w/ a product, but I can't help it. I am only giving it 1 star b/c it's a good concept (& that's as low as Amazon will let us rate!).

I know this is sort of a long reveiw for a beauty product, but PLEASE read! And yes, even though I have used other hair removers, I did the "allergy" test as suggested on the can, & I still had a reaction.

Bottle states, "Drip free spray for Legs, Body, Arms & More" "Soothing Botanicals" "Great Vanilla Scent"... It is none of those things. First of all, if you plan on using it for more than your legs, you will need more than 1 container (but I strongly encourage you not to purchase this at all!!!). I started w/ my arms & did not have enough to finish my legs: just over my knees; and I am just your average size.

2nd-No, it doesn't drip, it sprays all over the place!! Luckily, I was standing in my shower w/ the curtain shut. It clogs & does not spray evenly at all. Also, makes the shower VERY slippery!

3rd-The can says to wait 3 minutes, test an area & leave on no more than 10 minutes total if hair does not wipe off easily. I tested after 3 min, & was planning on leaving it on a little longer. After 2 more minutes, my skin was on fire!! I couldn't get it off fast enough. It was hard not to rub, as my skin was itching so bad, but I didn't want to irritate it anymore. My skin was so red & splotchy, & I even had a few bumps (not too many, though)... it looked horrible. I even had co-workers ask me what happened the next day!

4th-It didn't even remove most of the hair!! And my skin was too irritated to even shave the remaining. Even when I tried, the hair seemed to actually be *melted* into my skin-would NOT come off!!!

Just as an end note, it doesn't smell bad at first (although, it doesn't smell like vanilla, either), but after you have it on, it smells like any other hair remover. And the scent does not wash off. For the next 3 or 4 days (NO EXAGERATION), after my skin would get wet in the shower, it would smell like the remover.

I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! :(

This stuff works. No doubt about it...but..

1. You need to wait at least 5 minutes and the stuff gets ALL over the place so basically I sat on a towel for at least 5 minutes and didn't move. Wasn't fun.

2. One bottle is enough to do two legs once thats it. I'm not model size but still I'm not a elephant! They should make it cheaper or make it bigger!

3. Smells awful.

4. Does take the hair off it didn't burn my skin and I have wicked sensitive skin.

5. The hair came back in only 2 days...

So in conclusion it's too expensive for the amount given and the result. Just shave with some really good shaving gel. I suggest Noxzema shaving gel.

Ever desired that feeling where all of your leg hair follicles are simultaneously on fire but you didn't want to try some "natural" procedure, like waxing, but decided copious amounts of chemicals was truly the way you've envisioned since childhood?

Then, welcome, ladies and gentlemen!

Holy god...I wish I bothered researching for a few minutes online before purchasing a Canister of Agony. Everywhere burns. AGGGGHHHGGHGH.

Honest reviews on Sally Hansen Spray-On Shower-Off Hair Remover Women, 6 Ounce

I second the first review written about this product. Great concept, but horrible product. Not enough in the can to do two full legs and under arm areas. Does not spray well when aiming for the back of legs or upside down. Clogs up and doesn't function properly to spray continuously and evenly. 3 minutes is not long enough to remove hair, but yet your skin is on fire. I was covered with red spots that grew into welts over both legs. Any where the cream had been on my skin was a large red welt that did not itch, but burned. The welts and burning sensation lasted for 5 days after till I could get in to see my dermatologist. I could not shave after using this product and I could barely touch my legs to put on any body lotion. Forget about the under arm area. I was in such discomfort it was hard to put deoderant on. I could not even wear pants to work because the fabric rubbing my legs sent me through the roof. Horrible, horrible experience. I would not recommend this product.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Sally Hansen Spray-On Shower-Off Hair Remover Women, 6 Ounce

Well, once you spray it, you can barely breathe it smells so bad. I sprayed it on my legs, and it was burning but I decided to take it like a man. My legs got rashy redness on them. Then, I sprayed it on my armpits, cause nobody likes the gray look you have on your pits after you shave. I decided to do it because it is supposed to dissolve the hair. I lifted my arms up, so it wouldn't rub off, and there was a terrible burning sensation on my right armpit. Then, the pain got so bad, that I washed the stuff off and looked at my armpit and there was a bleeding crack in it. I washed it off my legs too after that and the hair was halfway gone, and halfway there still. Please do not get this product. The crack looks like a fault line and I call it my earthquake. Makes good memories but I have to avoid putting deodorant on it and I smell a little stinky. Yeah, it caused me problems, so there you go.

This year I finally kicked my lifelong nail-biting habit (woohoo!). Now that I have long enough nails, I and am rewarding myself by escaping from my usual rut of reds, dark purples, and French manicures.

This Fall I wanted to try out the grey trend but went into buying my first bottle of grey nail polish with trepidation. A year ago, my Mom gave me an OPI gift set that included what I thought was a grey, only to discover it was more of a brown when applied. I was disappointed because, while I have gotten used to some taupes this season, I just didn't feel comfortable wearing that shade (I think it's called You Don't Know Jaques!).

Great Color: I thought maybe grey wouldn't look good on me since I never wear pastel shades and have pale skin. I ended up loving it! I love this colorit's great for transitioning from work to going out. It's rich and clay-like, very close to what I would call a true grey. It is NOT a pastel, and is darker than the bottle appears. One person commented that they could see a purple hue, but Greige Gardens is lighter and more purple than Greige (I will be getting that one, too, my friend wears it and it looks beautiful on). Under some lights, Greige has a tinge of green, but in sunlight it's a nice grey. I like that it's not too light.

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure: I tried this polish alone, and with a base and top coat. Alone, you get more of a matte look, which is cool because of the grey color. If I apply OPI base coat with my favorite Sally Hansen Quik-Dry (red bottle) top coat, however, this polish lasts, and lasts, and LASTS!!! I'm going on 5 days without a single chip. (I posted pics). It's a little odd to apply at first because it's thick so you can almost mold it into place, but it's actually really forgiving that way and nicks tend to smooth out. I've had bubbles surface right after finishing but they fade away somehow and I never notice them the next day. I have to say, I will be buying more of these Complete Salon Manicure bottles because they satisfy my urge to get gels done, without making my nails brittle. Plus, I can remove it myself!
