I got this (from the store) originally based on the "plumper" claim. At first I was disappointed to find it didn't work like the instant plumpling lip balms and glosses. However, I stuck with it because it's a very nice, clean feeling lip balm. After half a tube of daily use my lips seem a little fuller, but it's hard to tell. That said, I love this as a moisturizer. My lips don't get "addicted" like with Chapstick brand or Carmex and it's very soothing if I do get chapped lips. Good stuff. Sadly, my local stores stopped carrying it, so I'll be buying it online for as long as I can find it.

I picked this up because I had seen it a few times in store and thought it looked interesting. The packaging is really nice, I'll give it that, but it's more like a lip balm than a plumper. I don't notice any effect at all when I wear this and there isn't even a hint of the sting or tingle that standard plumpers have. As a lip balm it's fine, it has a very slick feeling, so if you don't like thick balms you'll probably like this.

I've just recently discovered Salon Effects and I think they're wonderful. No need to wait for them to dry, and they last through all sorts of abuse.

One box has two packs of eight strips. I've discovered that cutting the strips can make one box go a long way, especially with short nails. With only one box, I was able to cover not only my ten fingernails, but also my daughter's ten fingernails *and* all her toenails.

The Glitz Bitz and Blue Ice patterns really sparkle. Up close, they look like a thick coat of glitter nail polish. I can't say they're my favorite design, but the price couldn't be beat.

I could go ten days before the nails start to look ratty from growth and chipping. If I actually took good care of them, maybe put a topcoat on, I'm sure I could go a little longer. By day 13, I was ready to take it off and apply a new design. Removal is as simple as a cotton ball soaked with nail polish remover.

I recommend Salon Effects for anyone who doesn't want to worry about wet polish and delicate nails. That would be me.

These are easy to use and apply. As with other sparkle polishes they can tear your nails up upon removal. They stay on forever and I got compliments daily!!

First of all, I must say that I've used other Sally Hansen salon effects before and have been VERY pleased with the results. Nevertheless -for these particular strips (I'm not sure if it's the design or is the product is old or what), when you go to peel off the top clear part, the silver bit that is supposed to help you remove the bottom peal away strip comes apart from the strip -there is then no way to remove the clear peel and therefore no way to properly apply the nail. I had to throw the whole thing away. DO NOT BUY!

I really like the Sally Hansen polish strips. Application is a bit tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, they go on quickly. Cheaper than going to the salon; faster and neater than painting your own nails. The best part is no drying time. However, I would highly suggest using a clear top coat to protect them and help them last longer. Mine usually last at least a week with a top coat.

The nail paint did not stick more than 2 days. It would come off in one piece...it didnt chip in peices. Only half of the 10 nails weren't sticky.

Cheap Sally Hansen Nail Shaper (12-Pack)

I've just got to talk about it, I was so amazed at the quick and simple task it finally is to shape and file down my nails. I bought the Sally Hansen nail shaper on a whim, thinking, well I will give it a try. I've tried many files before and they were all pretty much the same, but not this one, it's fantastic. I like my nails square shaped and of course we all have our own preferences, you can choose the shape you want. But, wow was this fast or what, I was pretty much shocked that it worked so quickly at filing them down to the length I wanted, then a couple more swipes to shape the corners. I personally would highly recommend this nail shaper, worked very well for me. I've read the faqs on some other files/shapers and they say you should only go in one direction with the shaper, well I did not do this, I just filed back and forth and voila. But, I do not recommend this to all, perhaps my nails are fairly strong and do not tear easily. Great product, I love it. Now doing my nails myself is not such a dreaded task. So much easier than polish! It takes a bit of practice to get these right and by a bit of practice I mean you'll probably have to adjust the first nail or two that you do. They really do continue to look nice for quite a long time although 10-12 days may be more accurate than the 14 days advertised. Not very cost efficient when you consider they cost the same as a bottle of nail polish, but they guarantee you're going to have nice looking, long lasting color for something special.

This color of silver polish (#13 Celeb City) is not overly sparkly once you have applied it. While in the bottle it may look like a sparkly silver, it actually comes out with a more matted chrome color. Definitely a silver hue, but dries with more like a foil shine instead of a glitter look. Two coats will get you perfect coverage and as with most Sally Hansen nail polishes, it has great lasting power. This Hard as Nails line lasts longer than any other nail polish I have ever used.

A true light silver with great metallic tones that don't 'matte' when dry. All polish chips eventually but this holds up as well as any.
