I give myself a pedicure at home once a week. I use this product after soaking my feet for approximately 20 minutes and sloughing off the dead skin with a coarse file. You just rub the remover in and rinse off and pat dry. The calluses are diminished and the leftover skin from filing has been removed. Not as good as a professional pedicure but great for home and for less than ten bucks.

I think sally hansen may have discontinued this item, i'm not sure. I really don't appreciate the way they keep knowcking useful products out of existence. This item has not done all that much for the soles of my feet, where calluses are thickest, it seems to have minimal effect there. Truthfully I never found it very practical to use anything besides a rasp of some kind on the soles of my feet--creams and scrubs on the soles are impractical. However for exfoliating dry rough skin elsewhere, as the sides and upper part of my feet and back of my hands, including cuticles, also elbows and knees, it is rather useful.

I want to love this polish, but my first application was harder than I thought. The polish strips go on easily, but I felt like I couldn't shape/cut the strips as neatly as I wanted (probably user error) :-) Ill try again, and enlist the help of a friend. Beware, don't apply a top coat too soon as it causes the strips to shrink/curl, whereas I thought it would hold the strips in place and make the mani last longer.

For some strange reason, the only time I care about my nails looking EXTRA good is for my trip to Las Vegas each year. I mean I care the rest of the year how they appear I certainly don't want everyone to see straggly-looking nails, but as long as they look reasonably good, I'm happy with just using clear nail polish applied once a week and that's it.

I had tried other nail strengtheners in the past -cheap products such as Sally Hansen -and pricier products such as TIPS and ProStrong. None of these worked as well as the OPI Nail Envy.

Nail Envy comes in a matte finish or natural finish (clear and shiny). I like the matte as it looks more natural. The natural finish is glossy and looks like a layer of glass on your nails.

Even though it is fairly thick when applied, it dries quickly. Nail Envy can be used as a base, a top coat or as a nail strengthener. However, if used as a nail strengthener, which I might say is the best product I've used, the results are not cumulative. Once you quit using it, your nails go back to the original brittle condition.

When used for strengthening, you must of course start out with clean dry nails. Two coats are required to start, and then every other day another coat is applied. At the end of the week you remove the Nail Envy and start over with the same routine. OPI "recommends" a non-acetone based polish remover, but I didn't have that type on hand so I used my regular acetone remover and it worked just as well. It doesn't require a lot of effort to obtain good results with this product.

I ordered this because I noticed when my un-polished nails grew long, they would bend in various ways because of how I used my fingers to press buttons, etc. I know polishing your nails with color also makes them stronger, but this transparent stuff is much less obvious when it gets chipped or scratched, so I don't have to worry about messing it up. I'd say it's doing a good job of helping my nails hold their natural shape no bending so far. I am also quite pleased with how it makes my nails look. It has a VERY faint white tint to it, which I think helps a little bit to even out blotchy colors in you nails (like purple or red). Other than that, it looks very natural. I think I will buy this again, although I'll go for the "shine" version next time.

One thing to consider (especially for men) is that although it says it's "matte," and it is certainly much less shiny than normal nail polish, it is not entirely "shine-less." It doesn't look very obvious that you have a product on your nails, but it does look like you've taken very good care of your nails. The level of shine is similar to what you'd get from a very thorough buffing (buffing is sanding your nails with a very fine grain so that they become smooth and a little shiny). If I saw a man wearing this product I probably would not think it looked "odd," it would just look like he took good care of his hands. So guys, buy it if you like, but beware you will look a tiny bit "pampered." :)

I purchased this about a month ago. I think I have tried every type of nail strengthener that is available all to no avail. This product not only has kept my nails from cracking and breaking but also helps me keep my nail polish from chipping for almost a week!! I have tried nail bases and overcoats when I polished my nails but none of them were very effective (no what I paid for them or their claims). I put on a couple of coats of this product, polish my nails (2-3 coats) and then put on a coat of nail envy. I may have to repolish a bit on the tips (depending on how roughly I am treating my nails but this keeps a manicure for a good week! I will never use another product except this.

Okay, so for one, shipping is wayyyy fast. I ordered this on the night of the 17th and got it morning of the 19th. I had standard shipping. And it came very well protected. Layers of papering, bubble wrap and it was also wrapped in a turquoise colored bag, and on top of that, was tied in ribbon and a flower. Super adorable. The color was a little dark, but run your fingers under water before your top coat, and it becomes very bright. I love it. Fast drying too.just be sure to add a top coat after it dries!(: 5 stars for this pen? Definitely.

This is the perfect color of Turquoise, and the applicator is very easy to use. The company shipped it quickly and I have no conmplaints there. So why not 5 stars? Because it rubs off overnight and I haven't found a way to keep it on more than a few hours. The Nubar Art Pen (no beautiful Turquoise available) also applies easily and the color last for weeks with no top coat. So Nubar gets 5 stars from me, Sally Hansen gets 3 stars and that seems generous. I probably should only give it 2 stars but I may find a top coat that works. But even then 3 stars is my limit because I have Gel Nails and do not want to fuss around with a top coat. And with Nubar I don't have to.

This is the only brand since 2007 that has worked for me. Veet wax strips don't pull the hair out and heating up wax burns my legs. Since I've been waxing for years with this product, my hair re-growth time is getting to about three months! Almost to four months from years of waxing.

Anyway, there are tricks to get the best results: 1) make sure the hand you are using to pull the skin back is holding down very tight because the force of the other ripping the strip off can in fact make it tricky to get all the hair. So practice makes perfect. Always keep trying till you get the best result for you. You never get it on the first try anyway.

2) Take some tylenol/advil 30 minutes before waxing if you don't like pain. It's been proven through research and studies that this helps alleviate pain, especially when waxing sensitive places on the body.

3) Always make sure your legs are cleaned/washed down before waxing. The wax doesn't hold well against skin that has oil and dirt.

4) If you miss a few hair: just use some tweezers to pluck out the rest. I do it and then everything is a okay.

5) Don't shave near the waxed spot for 24 hours. Even if it looks safe, you won't know till after you shave to see if ou get irritation or not. So don't jinx it by shaving too soon after waxing.

6) Make sure the hair isn't too short or too long. If it's over an inch, it's time to wax, but if it's two inches long, it's TOO long to wax. If it's under 1/4 of an inch, it's too short. Not sure if you are the recommended lengt? Ask a friend. family member, or research online to find out more information on proper length of hair that can be waxed. I've personally waxed it once when it was too short and nothing came off on the strip. I've also waxed it too long and it got really patchy looking. So make sure you keep track of how long your hair is.

Also it's very possible to have an allergic reaction to ingredients in wax, so if you've never waxed before, test on your upper thigh FIRST! A place that most people won't see. Wait 24-48hrs after that and see if you get red bumps, stringing, and what may look like acne but is really ingrown hair due to the follicle breaking off inside the pour of the removed hair (also oil got inside with oxygen creating a pimple like effect).

And remember, every instruction booklet of the products has a $1 off coupon for Sally Hanson wax strips! M favorite part of buying the product. Also to get the better deal, try your Walmart because it's the only place that constantly stocks and carries the strips.

Ahhh! Where do I start? Well this thing sucks. Bad. I decided to use it on my face, legs, and arms. I let the hair grow out, which is thick on some areas and fine on others. I let it grow out for about 1-2 weeks. I tried it on my face and it did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I followed all the directions and exfoliated my face. I put it on in the direction of the hair growth and pulled it the opposite direction. I also made sure I warmed it between my hands before hand. Well, only two hairs came out. I tried re-applying once more and nothing. So I tried a different spot on my face, same results. I put the oil on, which did nothing because I woke up with a rash on my face the next day. I tried my arms 3 days later and not one hair came out. Its ridiculous. I got the same results on my legs. This product is an absolute rip off. It doesn't get sticky enough and it doesn't get any hair out. And it irritates your skin on top of that, whether its from re-applying and re-applying or from the actual waxing ingredient I don't know. All I know is that this product doesn't work and neither does that "soothing oil". Maybe I got a faulty product? I don't know. But this is the 2nd time I tried this particular brand, apparently it got good reviews. Not making the same mistake, you get what you pay for I guess. BTW, the picture advertised is different than the one on the actual box that you get. Just an FYI.

This is one of the worst products I have ever purchased.The box is misleadingit suggests you can actually wax your legs with this product and then includes only six 'larger' strips. The box advertises 30, 15 double-sided. Fine, but perhaps somewhere it ought to be mentioned that the majority of those are double-counted by counting both of the skinny strips that are together on one sheet? And, even when warned properly in between my hands, they did not separate well, and worst of all, left lots of residue on my legs and nearly all of the hair. Horrible Horrible product. I have used many over the counter waxing kits and never before have I experienced a product grossly misrepresented and completely inadequate.

I must say that I'm not too hapy with this product. The results are not what the product explains the outcome should be. When I first bought this, I was hoping that it would'nt be so bad, becuase it had the Sally Hensen logo on it. Anyway, when I tried it out, I was surprised that it got most of the hair off, but I still had to pluck a few strays. On the box, it says that it lasts for 8 weeks after you've waxed an area. This is a lie, because after I waxed, it grew back a few days later just like regular shaving would have done. Another thing, the box also states that the hair will grow back thinner, which is also misleading. I waxed my underarms, and the wax strips got some extra hair around the area, and after a few days, it grew back darker. This product doesn't last for 10 days on my natural nails, but I get an acrylic overlay for strength, and it does last that long on my acrylic nails. I love this color! It is sheer enough that you can see the smile line through it, so it looks a bit like a french manicure, but very demure and understated. It is an interesting color, I thought it was white, but its actually cream with pink and peach tones in it. It has a subtle shimmer and I get many compliments on it. I think it looks better on a darker skin tone, but I still wear it in the winter when my skin is pale. Try it, you might just love it!

My hair has been all over bleached for a few months now. It is fine, naturally curly, and thick, in a graduated chin length bob. It was very dry and frayed at the ends. I painted my nails last week with Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure #160 Shall We Dance. I did 3 coats to get the color I wanted (it took a while to really dry all the layers so settle in to watch a movie or something). I have scrubbed the floors, washed dishes and kids' heads, scratched crusties off the counter...all in all, more that a week before a tiny chip appeared!! After a solid year of trial and error I finally have a solution for my acne. I've been going to the dermatologist for the past 14 months and by now you would have thought I'd be 100% acne free. I've been on various pills, washes, and even diets hoping to get rid of this unwanted burden. The biggest problem I had was finding a product that eliminated the acne and kept my skin moisturized. Many products would dry my skin out which caused it to crack and hurt more than it did prior! The Queen Helene Masque keeps my face moisturized and makes my pores smaller. I tend to keep the masque on a little longer than suggested because after it hardens I find it easier to wash off. You sense a difference immediately! It feels like your face is buried in a pile of silk. I use a total of 3 different products, which together seem to work terrific. I've been taking ClearZine (2 Bottles) The Top Rated Acne Treatment Pill. Eliminates Blotchiness, Redness, Blackheads and Zits for about 3 months which does an awesome job of clearing acne and preventing breakouts. It's the only over the counter product I found that works as good if not better than most prescribed acne treatment. I also use Proactiv face wash daily for 5 months now. Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque along with these 2 other products have been a savior. They have given me the best results I have seen to date and I believe that without all 3 I'd still be dealing with terrible black heads and the occasional cyst. If you're battling with dry skin and stubborn breakouts give this a chance!

I am 21 and male and never have been a fan of acne "curing" products, facial scrubs, etc... Additionally, there was no way that I was going to use a mask... I always thought it was a girl thing. Well, I was wrong. Recently my girlfriend had me try a mask that came with proactive and it seemed do help with my pimples a little bit. So, out of curiosity one day I picked up this Mint Julep mask because it has mostly natural products rather than all the drying agents most acne products use like salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. I also used a product called Principal Secret: blemish buster solution which contains sulfur which is excellent at getting rid of zits. Unfortunately this spot treatment of sulfur is almost 30 dollars for a .5oz bottle. To my surprise, the mint julep mask contains sulfur and can be used as a spot treatment as well. I use the mask once a week, and wash my face once everyday with St. Ives apricot scrub (without salicylic acid) and have seen amazing results. I have had really great results with this mask and my zits have disappeared completely. Every once and a while I will have one start to pop up, but I use the apricot scrub to open the pores then follow with a dab of this (leave on overnight) and do my weekly one application per week routine and the result is great. My girlfriend no longer gives me a hard time about zits, and I am more confident because I have a clean professional looking face. I highly recommend this product.

This product is very good. To start off it's very easy to put on. The product may sting or tingle for a minute or so, but that's typical of any mask like this one, it's just cleaning everything off that you coulden't get with the cleanser or scrub. While the product is drying, it gets into the pores especially around the nose where blackheads are, and you can see it. If this were a peel-off mask, it would probably gently peel off all of your blackheads. It smoothes the area around the nose and actually treats the blackheads. The stuff inside the acne is actually sucked out and removed when washed off. Since this product does not have eucaliptus, it will not overdry your face which is very good. I reccomend using this product once a week. Here's a good order to use to clean your skin with:

1. Cleansewith any typical cleanser. (I reccomend an invigorating cleanser that you can feel working and opening pores to prepare for the scrub.)

2. Scrubwith any typical scrub (You could use a scrub with a cleanser for extra cleansing if your face is not too dry.)

3. Maskwith this superb mask or any other of your choice.

4. Tonewith any typical toner, I reccomend a more gentle toner like the "L'oreal Hydrafresh Toner" just to soften up skin and prepare for soft moisturizer.

5. Moisturizewith any typical moisturizer.

All in all this mask is very good and does what it says. It is the original formula, so it's very good for your face.

This product removes dirt from the skin. I can tell wheneve I use it my skin gets clear and clean. I love the feeling of mint on face while letting it dry. When it is dry on my face I can see some oil coming out of my skin because the oil makes small spots on the dry pack. I recommend this to oily skin people. It is so inexpensive for the quality.

My daughter is going through nail polish like... well, can't think of gracious comparison, but let's just say she's 10 and been going through a great number of colors and brands.

What I discovered is that, in general, Sally Hansen is not as good as I remember from when I was a teen. In fact, I think it's safe to say that I REALLY dislike the Hansen brand. BUT, then comes "Black Out".

We didn't get this particular package offered on Amazon with the clear, but I must say that the Black Out shade is long lasting and chip resistant. It also goes on smoothly although it is rather thick. It dries shiny without needing an overcoat.

Have to say that we recommend this particular shade Black Out -of Sally Hansen.

[I don't recommend it for 'mature' fingers as it's not flattering on momma hands, imo, however looks good on toes. Enjoy a little wildness!]

Best Deals for Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear, Marine Scene, 0.4 Fluid

The folks at Sally Hansen have really knocked it out of the park with this line, I'm up to about five or six colors. Two or three coats = super long-lasting, vibrant, chip-resistant color. I particularly like the texture of most of these polishes when wet they go on very easily without being so thin as to spread onto the sides of your nails. Come to think of it, they also dry quickly, which is a plus. This color is a glitter formula, obviously, but again, everything about this line is great, so it's a finely milled glitter, not chunky at all, and the picture is very true to color.

Seriously, with the kicky, fun colors (along with some very classic colors like Cherry Red and a surprisingly wearable Wet Cement neutral) and definite Xtreme long-lasting formula, these are SUCH a winner. Don't hesitate, they're fantastic. The only issue I've come across is that any of the "glittery" colors are a pain to remove but that's true of all glitter polishes, and a reminder to put on a good base coat. It's not a bad tradeoff for having a manicure/pedicure that will stay put without chipping for over a week.

One other note, my nails tend to split/peel during winter, and this line has been *fantastic* in keeping my nails long & strong. Even when a peel starts, I can count on this polish to keep my nails strong.
