I love having my nails in color. After recently making acrilic nails, my natural nails were demolished. So I bought this product. My nails are in much better condition after the damage they suffered. This stuff has smoothed the tears, reduced the peeling and made my nails grow even faster than normal!

I am a nail polish aholic. I love having my nails in color. After recently making the stupid decision to try solar gel nails, my natural nails were demolished. So I bought this product. It works!! My nails are in much better condition after the damage the solar gel nails caused. The were dented, torn and peeling a real nightmare. This stuff has smoothed the tears, reduced the peeling and made my nails grow even faster than normal!

BUT you should not use this as a base coat. I've painted my nails 3 times with 3 different brands of nail polish over this product and they all chip off in about 2 days.

Great for growth and strength but terrible for long lasting color.

I have tried this product on and off for several months, and simply don't like it. It doesn't seem to make a difference at all in my nail strength or length.

The worst part is that it does not last at all. I don't put any color over it, sometimes I will try putting a top coat. No matter what, no matter how many coats or top coats, it always flakes off quickly and looks nasty. The longest I can usually go without re-doing it is 2 days. Overall, a pointless product.

I used this on the recommendation of a fellow co-worker. I have very thin fine fingernails that split all the time and break. I used this and it actually lasts for more than 2 weeks. Caution though it dries very fast.

I am totally addicted to these nail polish strips! They go on so easy and they last longer than polish. The convenience of doing my nails and not having to wait for them to dry totally justifies the price. If you are careful when you apply the strips you can easily get two applications out of one package. I always get compliments on my nails when I use these which is all the time since I discovered them! Great company too!

I manicure and pedicure my own hands and feet. Usually I would use Chanel Base & Top Coat, but they discontinued the product. After searching and using other top coats, this is the best polish for the price. The only problem is that it can get thick as opposed to the other, more expensive brands. A cure for this is to clean the neck of the bottle and the wand to keep the dried-up bits from ending up on the nails. Do this before starting a manicure to prevent taking off your polish.

Excellent staying power----polish takes a few more days of beauty before it chips. This is great for me---usually my polish chips within 2 days! This will last about 5 on me before chipping.

i was looking for a clear top coat that wouldnt chip as easliy as other brands. I am lucky i found this one! It works great with very minor chips after 4 days of wearing the polish. You can always apply a second coat after several days to prolong the life of your nail colour!

This is an amazing top and basecoat. It adheres so well to polish or to the nail itself, if using as a base. I use it for both purposes. I was very impressed with it. The shine is also amazing. I will buy it again and again!

I love the xtreme wear line. It's the most durable polish I've found and lasts almost a week without chipping, so it only really needs redone when my nails have grown out. This particular shade I had worn for several weeks and was thinking about changing when I discovered Doctor Who. It's a perfect TARDIS blue and I've kept it for four months.

I purchased this color at my local Rite Aid. I wanted something festive for the winter season...so, I went for this blue. It looks great. Very vibrant and shiny. You don't even really need a top coat although I put one on anyway. It has only been 3 days and I have received multiple compliments on it.

To make it even more fun, I put a layer of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength No Chip Nail Polish (Diamonds color) on top of two nails on each hand. Looks great.

I needed two coats (but, this is usually the case for me). And, as another poster said, this color is a little messy (more so than the other Sally Hansen Xtreme colors I have tried, for some reason). I am pretty good at painting my nails, but this blue got on the skin on the sides of my nails. No worries though! If this happen, just let it dry fully, then scrape it off with your nails under water. A little soap helps too. I usually do this in the shower the morning after painting my nails.

I saw this nail polish on Amazon and I really loved the color so i bought it. However it took so long to get to me I forgot I had ordered it! When I first tried it out the brush (all the way up to the cap ) was drenched in polish. it made it hard to paint my nails because I had to much of the polish on the brush. It also got really messyall over my hands. Maybe I'm just bad at painting nails but if I had to buy it again I would. I love the color so much! I would say its worth the money but be careful!

A true cobalt blue with great metallic tones that don't 'matte' when dry. All polish chips eventually but this holds up as well as any.

Sally Hansen's Salon Effects are my newest obsession! These babies ain't cheap, either! But when you consider the wear and that you don't have to "touch up" every other day, then you almost forget the price! The trick is to center the stickers on your nails. I like that they include different widths for each nail so I can customize my fit. I enjoy a narrow sticker on my thumb for instance, to give an illusion of length instead of the sticker going from cuticle to cuticle. I can choose a narrower thumb sticker and get the look I want. Now for the wonderful part. They last FOREVER! I'm a mommy whose hands are forever in a sink or toilet or washing machine and yet, the stickers don't peel or chip. I think the trick is to press them on very well from the beginning. I center each sticker then press and roll my thumb from side to side to make sure there are no edges or lumps. When I come to the tips where the extra sticker is hanging off, I just file it down toward the table, not upwards, so the sticky part is pressed firmly onto the tips. My method seems to work wonders b/c I don't even mess with my nails until its time to choose another pattern, three weeks later!! It has also allowed me to grow-out my nails which are normally VERY short b/c they distract me from the growth, which I'm used to biting off! I know, gross but true. It doesn't hurt that everyone ooohs and aahhhs when they see your hands too..."how did you DO that?" You just wait, nail polish bottles are a dying breed!

I found these in a bin at a store and thought I would give it a try. I love them. The designs are wonderful and ALWAYS get a "wow your nails are cute'' from anyone who happens to notice my hand while out and about. The only way the appliques won't work is if they are allowed to dry out or if you purchase a kit that has the seal on the nail designs broken. The trick to them is simple.

-Prep your nails in the way you find desireable

-gently push back your cuticles and clip off any ragged edges (young people ask your mom, older sis or BFF for help with this)

-Buff your nails with a mild buffer.

-WASH YOUR HANDS THOROUGHLY (THIS STEP AND THE NEXT ONE is key to getting a long lasting manicure using the Salon Effects).

-Get a cotton swab and put rubbing alcohol on it and wipe your nail beds. THIS PART IS KEY TO REMOVING ANY OILS OR RESIDUE FROM THE HAND SOAP.

-Pull off the clear cover on each nail and pull the design away from the backing.

-Start by centering the appliqe in the center base of your nail (along the cuticle)

-Gently lay it over your nail. It is repositionable so you should be able to bump it left, right or forward. You can also stretch the applique a bit to cover your nail bed if you have broad fingers.

-Use the flat side of the wooden stick that is included to push the applique in to the crease all around the nail and then use the sharp end to GENTLY push the applique in.

-Take the white side of the file provided and lay it over your entire nail and rock it side to side to press the applique on to the nail. When you are ready and if you get good at it you can pull the excess pattern downward (away from the nail) and then use either the white side of the file or the coarser pink side to SLOWLY AND GENTLY flie your nail using one-way down-ward strokes.

-When you get all the excess removed then press the white side of the file on top of the nail again and then finish off with a good top coat. It should last 2-3 weeks.

This is fun and while they are expensive at places like Ulta, you can find then cheaper at WalMart and here on Amazon.

Cheap Sally Hansen Hard As Nails French Manicure Set - Sheer Opal - 3 ct

The sheer french color does not have much color to it. It looks milky, but it's actually very transparent. When you apply it, there are tons of sparkles and a slight metallic pink color after it dries. I was looking for more of a natural peachy pink color, so the sheer color wasn't ideal for me. The french white tip polish was very runny, but it wasn't too hard to work with. What really helped were the stickers, especially when I was painting my left hand. I have read reviews where people complained about the polish bleeding under the stickers, but that just means that they did not apply it correctly. The trick is to press down hard on the stickers to ensure that the paint does not move under it. The directions said to wait for the paint to completely dry before removing the stickers, but what I did was right after I finished painting them, I quickly and carefully removed the sticker and then allowed the polish to dry. I found that the lines were cleaner like that. The top coat was pretty good and dried pretty fast. I gave this item three stars because I didn't like the sheer color and there are better white polishes out there. It's a good thing the stickers came with this or else the white polish would have been extremely difficult to deal with.

Yet again Sally Hansen has put out a great product. I have been using it for months let me tell you it is great. Umm the mani last long if you follow the directions as to put on the top coat at least once to twice a week to make it last and chip proof. They have these little sticker thingys in there so you won't mess up on the white tip part.! The color is great. I only put on one coat of the sheer opal because two makes it look like glitter nail polish for 8 year olds, I also add a layer of my own clear pink-tinted nail polist to make my nails look like a sheer natural pink flush background.
